Profile of an SCFS Graduate

Students develop the ability to think deeply, explain their reasoning, and connect ideas across subjects and experiences. Through meaningful challenge, feedback, and revision, they learn to apply knowledge with purpose and persist as the quality of their work grows.

Students learn to understand themselves more fully as learners by recognizing strengths, identifying growing edges, and using strategies with intention. Reflection helps them make sense of setbacks, adjust their approach, and explain not only what they learned, but how their learning developed.

Students are invited to engage thoughtfully with questions of equity & equality, responsibility, empathy, and impact. Through classroom life, Quaker practice, and participation in community, they learn to listen with care, consider different perspectives, and contribute constructively to the well-being of others.

Students build increasing responsibility for their work, relationships, and participation in community. They learn to take initiative, contribute to groups, communicate across differences, manage responsibilities, and seek help appropriately as they prepare for greater independence.
