Learning with Heart in an Age of Change
What Students Need in a Changing World
In a changing world, students need more than familiarity with new tools. They need opportunities to develop attention and self-awareness, curiosity and critical thinking, empathy and cooperation, and the ethical judgment to consider the impact of their choices. They also need to evaluate evidence, verify information, understand authorship and academic integrity, and respond to challenge with flexibility and persistence. As students grow, these skills support responsible independence and a deeper sense of stewardship for their communities and the natural world. Together, they help students engage thoughtfully with both familiar and emerging tools.
Human Skills First
In partnership with EdHu2050, SCFS is implementing the MOON® Program framework to help students understand themselves, relate thoughtfully to others, care for the natural world, and use emerging tools responsibly.
