  STATE COLLEGE FRIENDS SCHOOL

Educational Improvement tax credit program

Turn your PA tax dollars into scholarships!

Through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program, individuals and businesses direct a portion of their Pennsylvania state incomes tax dollars towards scholarships at State College Friends School and other Quaker schools across the state. Qualified individuals can make a contribution and receive 90% of the contribution back as a dollar-for-dollar reduction of their 2020 PA state taxes. This makes large gifts very inexpensive to make. For example, a $10,000 gift will cost a donor just $1,000 to make, and if you itemize, you can also claim that $1,000 as a charitable gift.

Eligible donors who pay $3,000 or more in state taxes can direct a portion of their tax dollars to financial aid for Friends schools through our partner, the Friends Collaborative. The Collaborative has received approval for additional tax credits for this current 2020 tax year and the 2021 tax year. With the help of our community, that can mean more financial aid dollars for SCFS and our 19 partner Friends schools.

Businesses can also participate in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program by donating directly to State College Friends School.
