EMPLOYMENT

After School Staff - For Immediate Hire
Friends School is seeking staff for our After School childcare program. The ideal candidate is someone who loves to run, move, and play with young people and who can manage a group of multi-age children. After School runs Monday through Friday, from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. Most of our staff work 1-3 days per week. In addition, we ask our After School staff to work for part of our Inservice days, in which we offer childcare from 8:00-5:30 p.m. A list of these days is given to staff upon hire.At After School we emphasize free play, choices, and being outdoors in all weather. We expect staff to come ready for the season's weather—sun, rain, snow, and cold. We ask staff to lead active games in the winter. State College Friends School teaches cooperation, stewardship, and problem-solving among its students. We offer training to After School staff on building these values with children. We believe in both logical consequences and in having flexibility with the rules when appropriate.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We give priority to people who have prior experience in working with children. All applicants must be able to obtain clearances to work with young people. Please send a resume, cover letter, and 3 references to David Kern, Interim Head of School.
Job Type: Part-time
