Flexible Tuition at SCFS
Friends School offers an alternative to public school, including publicly-funded charter schools. We serve families in State College, Bellefonte, Bald Eagle, Penns Valley, Tyrone, and Huntingdon school districts.
Also referred to as private schools, independent programs such as Friends School are funded through tuition and supplemental income from a variety of sources, primarily individual donors: current and alumni families and friends of the school who believe in the importance of a Friends education; local businesses, and small grants.
We want as many people as possible, who truly understand the value of a Friends education, to be able to become a part of the Friends School community. Therefore, we are committed to offering flexible tuition, when possible, to help make a Friends education available. Presently, we are able to offer flexible tuition to K-8 families. This means that the amount a family pays is based on income, assets, and other pertinent financial information. An application for flexible tuition is made through the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Please inquire further about tuition by contacting Lori Pacchioli at 814-237-8386.
For Pre-K families seeking financial assistance, the Early Learning Resource Center of Centre County (ELRC) offers a subsidy to qualifying families.
