Foxdale Village, a Quaker-directed continuing care retirement community, is located on the property adjacent to the Friends School. This close proximity has made it possible for our students to enjoy many inter-generational activities with residents who have talents, stories, and wisdom to share.
Foxdale residents have volunteered as classroom helpers for students who need a little extra attention in math or reading; they help keep our library organized and updated, and they serve as Reading Buddies for our emerging readers. Our students love to perform plays and sing for residents in the beautiful Foxdale Auditorium, and we've even had performances there with our mixed choirs. We love sharing time, space, gardens, laughter, and love with our Foxdale neighbors.
