  WHAT PARENTS HAVE TO SAY

myrtle wright scholarship endowment fund

About

The Myrtle Wright Scholarship Endowment was established and named in memory of Myrtle Wright, the beloved wife of Lauren Wright, using memorial gifts sent to the Friends School by Myrtle's friends and relatives. Some of those original donors have made additional gifts to the fund over the years in response to the matching challenge offered anonymously by Lauren Wright. That challenge has also succeeded in attracting gifts to the fund from other scholarship donors, many of whom did not know Myrtle Wright.

In recognition of Myrtle's dedication to State College Friends School, and her appreciation for human diversity, Lauren Wright established the fund to create a lasting memorial that would primarily help support the education of Quaker children and children of color at State College Friends School.
