Thank You for Your Interest in Renting Our Facilities - COVID-19 Update

During this time of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 health crisis, we will not be renting out our building. We hope to resume regular rental opportunities once the health risks have been mitigated to a manageable level and when that happens, we will update this page accordingly. Thank you for your understanding, be well, and stay healthy.
State College Friends School offers several different facilities which can be rented for parties, dances, workshops or classes. A convenient location, ample parking, and great pricing make Friends School a great choice for your next gathering large or small.

The Community Room: The Community Room measures over 2000 square feet (45' X 45'). It has a capacity for 400 standing and seating for over 125 guests. Hardwood flooring and the open design make it ideal for dances, parties, seminars, banquets, and other large group activities. A kitchen featuring two large stoves, dishwasher, place settings for 100 and ample counter space is also available with the rental of the community room. Renters are responsible for kitchen clean up after events. We are an alcohol- and tobacco-free campus, indoors and out.

The Library: The library is a large and well-apportioned room that provides a warm, well-lighted environment. Oak tables, chairs and bookcases make the library ideal for small meetings, workshops and classes.

Classrooms: Classrooms are also available for rental. The rooms are varied according to the grade, but all feature open carpeted areas and whiteboards that lend them to smaller, intimate groups. Groups have rented a classroom in conjunction with the community room for childcare during their events. Children must be supervised by adults during group events.

How to Rent Space:
Call or email Jackie Elliott to begin the process. If a date is open, we will talk with you about your needs. In addition to the room the following items/services can be arranged for your event:
  • Use of tables and chairs
  • Event preparation and clean up
  • Use of kitchen
  • Equipment rentals (sound, lights, AV)
  • Pre and post event storage
Prices depend on the type of group, the room rented and the needs of the group. After a rental agreement is set, a contract is sent to you. In addition to the rental amount, the school requires each renter to provide a $200.00 damage and key deposit and a certificate of liability insurance for your group or event. Friends School does not permit smoking, games of chance, or alcohol on its premises.  Please contact Jackie Elliott for more information (jackiescfs@gmail.com) or 814-237-8386.
