State College Friends School Summer Camps

State College Friends School summer camps provide children with enriching, rewarding, and fun-filled experiences.  Campers will enjoy an environment guided by the Quaker principles of tolerance, peace, equality, integrity, and community.  Fun themes, games, educational activities, and adventures are planned each week.  The program is developed and supervised by a staff of professionals in a safe, caring community.

Facilities

All of our summer camp programs are held at State College Friends School located at 1900 University Drive.  The school and its grounds offer many amenities that make it ideal for a summer camp.  The large, air-conditioned Community Room provides ample space for group games and cool relief from hot summer weather.  The 3+ acre school grounds feature outdoor courts, athletic fields, playground equipment, fit trail, gardens, and a giant sand pond.  In addition, a field trip and pool day are planned for each week of Kids Camp, and all camps utilize the resources of our local community.

After-Camp Care

After-camp care, with supervised activities and play time, is available daily for children in Wee Friends and Kids, and camps from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 pm when camp is in session.  The cost is $6.00/hour and families are billed twice during the summer.

Snack and Lunch

Full-day campers need to bring their own snack, lunch, and drink in an insulated container.  Snack will be provided to our Wee Friends 1/2 day campers. NOTE: All of our camps are peanut–free as well as wheat and nut aware.  Please be sure to let us know if your child has any other food or dietary restrictions.

Payments

DEPOSITS: Families will be able to pay for their deposit/s online through a PayPal account that we have setup for summer camp. Currently, we are only able to process camp deposits online. Families are also welcome to pay via cash, check (made payable to 'SCFS'), or money order; however,  deposit payments must be received within 2-3 days of registration, otherwise your registration spot/s may be forfeited.
CAMP BALANCES: Camp balances will be due 2 weeks prior to each registered week (families will receive an email reminder approximately one week before the weekly balance is due).

Refund Policy

  1. Please Note: All deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and due within 2-3 days of receiving your registration confirmation ($40 per camp week registered).
  2. Cancellation is allowed up to two weeks prior to each registered camp; you will be refunded any balance paid less the deposit for the week(s) you need to cancel. If you have not paid the balance for any camp registered for within 2 weeks of the camp start date, you will forfeit that camper's spot. Refunds will be at the discretion of the Friends School summer camp director.
