Meet Karen Maynard

Karen (she/her) lives in Boalsburg, PA with her husband, Richard. She has a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She joined the SCFS faculty in 2018. Karen loves working at Friends School because of the amazing philosophy of education that comes from its Quaker roots, and the fact that she can share her goofy side and passion for music with the students. When she’s not teaching, Karen loves dancing, getting outdoors, and reading fantasy novels.
