State College Friends School is an independent Quaker school serving approximately 120 students in Pre-K through 8th grade. Since 1980, SCFS has offered a vigorous educational program grounded in the Quaker testimonies of equity, integrity, and stewardship. The After School Program at SCFS is available to students enrolled in Pre-K through 8th grade from 3:00 - 5:30 PM daily (additional hours may be available).

Responsibilities: After School staff will work with the program director to help prepare and clean up an after school snack and materials for arts, free play and game activities. Staff will also help engage students in activities and support students’ well being. Leadership training is available for staff interested in planning and leading after school activities in areas such as arts, languages, technology/engineering, and athletics.

Minimum Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to and from State College Friends School. Must be open to on the job training. Hiring is contingent on a successful background check.

Preferred Requirements: Experience working with children in a classroom, camp, or child care setting is preferred. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements: including, but not limited to:
● Moving
● Bending
● Walking, including at a fast pace
● Lifting up to 50 pounds
● Kneeling
● Squatting
● Sitting on the floor
● Standing for long periods of time
● Climbing stairs

An onsite interview is required. Clearances are required for all new hires.

$12/hour
