Description
State College Friends School seeks several Summer Programs staff members to help facilitate our dynamic summer programs for children in grades Pre-K through 4. These are seasonal, salaried positions reporting directly to SCFS Administrative staff. Responsibilities will include a pre-season training, daily on-site operational assistance for camps (running June 9th through August 8th, with the exception of the week of June 30th to July 4th).
Mandatory pre-season training session on Saturday, June 7th – 12pm to 3pm
Schedule is daily, 7:30am to 3:30pm
Camps run June 9 to Aug 8 (except for June 30 to July 4)
- Serves as the on-site Summer Program point person
- Assists SCFS Administrator with maintaining camp budget, supplies, and inventory of all materials
- Assists SCFS Administrator with daily/unexpected staffing substitutions
- Serves as front office personnel, handling attendance, arrivals, phone calls, minor first aid administration, and dismissals
- Serves as communications liaison between Counselors and SCFS Administrator

Requirements
All candidates should possess:
- Dedication to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively
- Flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Clearances for working with children, submitted to SCFS Administrators before May 15, 2025
