Meet Carrie Koch

Carrie (she/her) lives in State College with her husband John; two adult children, Rebecca and Kat; and a trio of kitties, Princess Buttercup, Pandora, and Sir Isaac Tucker McFluffington. Carrie graduated from Penn State with a BS in Elementary Education, a minor in Psychology, and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction, Reading Specialist. Her love for math and science came from tutoring for more than 8 years. Her art experience was also acquired mostly by accident, as she has been teaching art camps through the Art Alliance in Lemont for 13 years. Carrie joined the SCFS faculty in 2019 as a math teacher and Pre-K assistant and now teaches middle school math and science and K-8 art. Carrie is constantly impressed by the diversity of experience in a Quaker education and the cohesiveness of the community. Carrie has lots of hobbies that she never has time to do including crocheting, reading, and occasionally feeding her family.
