Meet Kayla Moran

Kayla (she/her) graduated from Penn State Altoona in 2023 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She brings passion and commitment to her role at State College Friends School. During her first year she is excited to show her dedication to the K/1 Community and her knowledge in sports and activities as the new K-8 Physical Education teacher. She looks forward to coming to school everyday and seeing the tangible growth and progress is such a touching reward for both teacher and student. When you see that "light bulb" go off, nothing else matters.

Kayla believes Quaker Education is unique because it provides resources to make it easy to care for each and every student through our spices: Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality/Equity, and Stewardship. She chose Friends School because the school's philosophies and their love for the students, faculty, and families aligns with her own values.

Kayla lives in State College with her family and two dogs, Kennedy and Milo. She has played volleyball for 15 years and also coaches for Mount Nittany Middle School. In her free time she likes to watch movies with her family.
