Meet Maren Grossman

Maren (she/her) studied philosophy and classics at Mary Washington University in Virginia (and Catholic University in DC). She went from studying theoretical subjects to doing hands-on projects and preschool activities while homeschooling her three children. Maren brings fifteen years of homeschooling experience to the Friends School, during that time she developed a love for early childhood education. Her experience encompassed educating grade levels from preschool to high school. Maren believes that the best educational experiences draw on the relationships we build with each other. She is drawn to Quaker education's central focus on the intrinsic value of each person and its emphasis on connection.

Maren lives at home with her husband, three children and their dog. In her free time she loves to read, knit, and play board games.
