Through the Middle School Changemakers Project at SCFS, students are developing the skills to research important issues, understand multiple perspectives, and take meaningful action. Ethan, one of this year’s Changemakers, chose to focus on how access to affordable healthcare can vary significantly depending on where people live.
In his research, Ethan examined the unique challenges faced by individuals in rural communities, where distance, limited resources, and cost can all create barriers to receiving care. He learned that for many people, these obstacles can delay or prevent access to essential medical services.
To raise awareness and better understand the scope of this issue, Ethan created a campaign designed to inform others and gather real stories from those affected. His project invites community members to reflect on their own experiences and contribute to a broader understanding of healthcare access in rural areas.
Ethan’s work reflects the goals of the Changemakers Project by combining thoughtful research with meaningful outreach. By encouraging others to share their perspectives, he is helping to foster greater awareness and connection around an important topic.
We invite you to support Ethan’s project by completing his form or sharing your story. Your participation will help deepen understanding and bring additional voices into this conversation.
