Meet Val

Val Flamini recently earned her Ph.D. in Music education from Penn State after years of conducting choirs, teaching general music, and directing musical theatre. Val taught 10 years in Georgia public schools where she conducted and taught music for three high schools and an elementary school. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2008 and was offered a conducting position with Susquehanna Valley Chorale. Flamini directed and conducted the youth treble and mixed ensembles (2nd grades-high school students) over the course of 8 years with the SVC. Dr. Flamini currently teaches for Penn State and is a vocal coach at her music studio, Sohum Studio.
