Summer Camp

All summer programming will run from Monday, June 9th to Friday, August 8th. Please note the school will be closed for the week of June 30th through July 4th.

Pre-K Summer Extension | Ages 3-5

This program is available for students that are currently enrolled in the State College Friends School Pre-K program or for those that intend to enroll for the 2025-2026 school year. The Pre-K extension program is a full 8-week program for a cost of $2,200. This program will run daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This program will have a maximum capacity of 15 students. Pre-K Summer Extension Program

Friends School Camp | Ages 5 to 10

This year we will be offering 8 weekly camps for students who are between ages 5 to 10 as of June 1, 2025. The cost will be $275/week for these camps. Camp will run daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. These weekly camps will have a maximum capacity of 20 students.

Week 1 | June 9th to June 13th

Folk Art Farm Animals with Tr. Heather

This fun and creative summer camp will dive into the world of folk art by designing and crafting their very own farm animals! Friends will explore the vibrant colors, bold shapes, and distinctive lines used in folk art, then sketch, color, and bring their animals to life on fabric. They'll have the option to learn basic sewing techniques to cut, sew, and assemble their creations. By the end of the week, each child will have a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted farm animal to take home and treasure. It's a week of creativity, learning, and hands-on fun!

Week 2 | June 16th to June 20th

Elephant and Piggie with Tr. Carrie

Get ready for a week of fun, laughter, and friendship in our Mo Willems-inspired summer camp! Friends will dive into the hilarious and heartwarming world of Elephant and Piggie books, exploring the lovable characters and their adventures. Throughout the week, children will engage in creative activities like storytelling, drawing, and acting, all while learning about friendship, empathy, and problem-solving. The week will culminate in a fun and lively play featuring excerpts from the books, where campers will have the chance to perform and showcase their newfound skills. It's a week filled with imagination, laughter, and friendship!

Week 3 | June 23rd to July 11th

Spanish Language with Tr. Eduardo

¡Bienvenidos! Join us for an exciting and immersive Spanish Language Summer Camp! This fun-filled camp introduces children to the Spanish language through games, songs, stories, and interactive activities. Friends will learn basic vocabulary, phrases, and cultural customs while building confidence in speaking Spanish. With hands-on projects and lively lessons, kids will explore the language in a playful, engaging environment—making it easy and fun to learn Spanish all summer long!

Week 4 | July 7th to July 11th

Around the World with Tr. Carrie

Embark on a global adventure this summer! Friends will explore the art, games, and cultures of different countries, learning about unique traditions, music, crafts, and fun activities from all around the world. From creating traditional art projects to playing global games, children will gain a deeper appreciation for diverse cultures while having a blast with hands-on activities. By the end of the week, campers will have traveled the world through creativity, play, and friendship!

Week 5 | July 14th to July 18th

Sports and Games with Tr. Eduardo

Get ready to move, play, and have fun in our Sports and Games Summer Camp! This high-energy camp features a variety of team sports, individual games, and fun recreational activities designed to keep kids active and engaged. From soccer and basketball to relay races and obstacle courses, campers will build teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence while enjoying friendly competition. It’s a week packed with action, laughter, and new skills—perfect for kids who love to stay active and have fun outdoors!

Week 6 | July 21st to July 25th

STEAM with Tr. Carrie

Unleash your child’s inner inventor at our exciting STEAM Camp! This action-packed camp will dive into the worlds of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on projects, experiments, and creative challenges. Friends will build, design, experiment, and create as they explore everything from robotics and coding to artistic expression and mathematical puzzles. It’s a week of fun, curiosity, and problem-solving where imagination meets innovation!

Week 7 | July 28th to August 1st

We are still finalizing the details for week 7 of camp, but we know it will be an exciting camp experience where adventure, creativity, and fun come together in a one-of-a-kind setting! While the theme is still a surprise, rest assured that this camp is packed with engaging activities, new friendships, and unforgettable memories. Week 8 | August 4th to August 8th

Music and Dance with Tr. Karen

Join us for a vibrant and energetic Summer Camp where friends sing, dance, and explore the rhythms of the world! Campers will dive into the joy of multi-part songs and fun repeat-after-me activities, building their musical skills and teamwork. They’ll also experience exciting dance styles from a variety of cultures, including Bhangra from northern India, Tahitian from the Pacific Islands, Saidi from Egypt, Binasuan from the Philippines, and more! With lively music and movement, this camp is a celebration of global culture, creativity, and expression.

Friends School Camp | Ages 11-14

This is a one-week summer camp option for students between the ages of 11-14 as of June 1, 2025. This camp will run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at a cost of $325 for the week. This camp will have a maximum capacity of 15 students.

Clay and Ceramics with Tr. Carrie | June 23rd to June 27th

Get ready to get your hands dirty and create amazing works of art in our Clay and Ceramics Summer Camp! Friends will learn the art of sculpting and shaping clay, from pinch pots to sculptures, while exploring different techniques like hand-building and glazing. Throughout the week, children will experiment with textures, colors, and designs to bring their clay creations to life. Each friend will create unique pottery and clay masterpieces, crafted with creativity and fun! Clay projects will be available for pick up the week of July 7.
